Bronze to be brought home! PDF Print E-mail

The Australian Team were awarded their bronze medals last night at the closing ceremony. The team came in behind Uruguay and France.

Kunama Safira kept a steady pace throughout the 120km event, increasing the speed each phase. It was a technical course that required a thoughtful rider.

Congratulations to all involved, Cedar Ridge Stables is very proud of Brooke Warner and Kunama Safira who finished the 120km event in 16thplace, in a time of 5:59:52

Courtney competes in Dubai PDF Print E-mail

FAZAA was kind enough to allow Courtney Freeman to ride Australian bred horse Dumaresq Montgomery in a 120km race in Dubai.

We are having a great time over here in the UAE, we have been lucky enough to watch some more races at both the Al Wathba International Endurance Village (Where the World Youth Champs will be held in less than 1 weeks time) and at the Dubai International Endurance Village.

It has been great to see so many Australian horses looking fit and ready to compete in these events.

Endurance Riding Australia PDF Print E-mail

Kunama Safira (Pictured Left) was training in Australia this week, next week... UAE. There are only 5 more sleeps until Kunama Safira boards her first flight with groom Blake Freeman.

Brooke Warner and Kunama Safira were announced as one of the 4 combinations to represent Australia in the upcoming World Youth Endurance Championships.

Endurance Riding in the UAE is a lot different to Endurance Riding in Australia. In Australia we can be riding alongside Kangaroos in the Pine Forests, through farms with livestock, as well as going up, over, and around mountain ranges... sometimes this is all in one event!  We are all looking forward to experiencing the different terrain that the UAE has to offer.

Unfortunately we can't all go! Some of the Cedar Ridge Stables Team will be cheering on Brooke and Kunama Safira from the stable block back home. Good Luck to all competing in the event.
